NOW AVAILABLE! "Cambria Somerset Authority, Archived Photos, 1909-1970"
Cambria Somerset Authority (CSA) was formed when Commissioners of both
Cambria and Somerset Counties combined resources to acquire the assets of
the Manufacturers Water Co. in 1999. A large group of old photographs
which documented the construction of the Quemahoning Dam, twelve (12) miles
of 66" pipeline installation, reconstruction of the 1960s [when the breast
of the dam was modified and raised approximately seven (7) feet], and other
photos taken over the years were included as part of the acquisition.
We have recently completed our task of sorting, documenting, and creating a
digital (.jpg) file of the photographs.
